Diamond drilling trailer rigs are a self contained tow able unit that contains a generator power source, a 500 litre water carrier and diamond drilling motor in one unit. The Drill Masters unit is powered by a Lambardini engine which drives a hydraulic pump providing a high torque motor speed that increases the speed of drilling. Not only does it operator at a faster speed but there is a reduction in the set up time as the unit does not need bolting down to the ground. A hydraulic ramp stabilises the machine lifting it off the ground and provides a level surface to drill. Approximately a 40% increase in the number of holes drilled in a day can be achieved compared to bolt down drilling operations. The diamond drilling trailer rig can core up to 600mm diameter holes in tarmac, reinforced concrete and block paving. The water tank holds enough water to undertake a full days drilling operation without the need for refilling making working on remote site a viable cost effective option.
They are ideally suited to diamond drilling on roadways, car parks, airport runways and larger span concrete slabs. They can be used for a variety of reasons from bollards to road barrier fences to core samples. Being a road tow trailer the unit can be maneuvered quickly about a site giving speed and precision to the diamond drilling of multiple holes. Drill Masters have operated diamond drilling trailer rigs on many different projects from drilling 450mm diameter holes for earthing rods to drilling holes through tarmac surface for bollards to operating a separate wall mounted hydraulic drill rig in a remote location making use of the combined power supply and water tank built in.
