The Garden Feature with plant installed
When we have a spare moment we are undertaking a project to diamond drill large stones to turn them into garden features as the pictures show. As we are specialist diamond drilling and concrete cutting contractors this is a straight forward process for our industrial core drilling machines and diamond segmented core bits.
The process involves securing the drill stand in place and positioning the large stone often granite underneath the drill motor. The operator then slowly feeds the diamond core onto the stone and forms a perfect 200 diameter hole through the stone. This can then be filled with a plant as the photo shows or a secondary smaller hole can be drilled turning the stone into a water feature.
